Our Floating Support Worker's role includes the provision of one-to-one emotional and practical support to women who want to stay in their own homes, rather than be homeless as a result of Domestic abuse. Women are normally visited at home or somewhere else that is safe and convenient. Our worker provides intensive support and information about safety measures, legal options as well as referring women and children to specialist services such as children's centres.

This service is available to any woman living in the Boston area who wishes to stay in her won home safely as an alternative to suing a refuge / safe house services.

A woman can refer herself to this service by calling 01205 311272. Any agency can also refer as long as they have the woman's permission and no pressure is being applied for her to remain in her own home. the woman will be contacted by phone (where possible) so that the worker can do an initial assessment and details of the service will be given.
