As a rule, internet browsers will save certain information as you surf the internet. Deleting Browsing history:
Internet browsers also keep a record of all the web pages you visit. This is known as a 'history'.
To delete history for Internet Explorer and Firefox hold down the Ctrl key on the keyboard, then press the H key (Crtl, Alt and H for Opera). Find any entries that refer to Womens Aid, right click and choose Delete.
Internet Explorer
- Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options
- Select the General tab, under "Browsing History", select the check box "Clear History on exit"
- Next click on the Delete button, in the dialog box which appears check there are ticks by Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, Form Data and History and click the "Delate" button.
Firefox
- Click on Tools and then Options, then click on Privacy
- Now select the check box "Clear History when Firefox Closes" - you will need to select "Use Custom Settings" from the drop down box in the history section if you use FireFox 3.6.12 or above
- Click OK to confirm your changes
Opera
- Press Ctrl key on the keyboard, then press theF12 key on the keyboard to access the Preferences window.
- Click on the Advanced tab and then the History section on the left-hand side.
- Click the Clear button and the Empty Now button.
